I Am Alive digital because of The Last of Us?

As you know, I Am Alive had drastic changes since it was first produced in 2008 in the studios of Darkworks until it was transferred to Ubisoft Shanghai and completely changed their gameplay.

A game which initially generated high hopes with its first trailer, saw its fading glow to go with the lack of novelty, culminating with the change of distribution to digital distribution.

Today, there are few who are waiting for I Am Alive to be a real surprise, but according to the magazine PSM3, these changes were due mainly to The Last of Us

According to the magazine, an employee of Ubisoft, stated that the game I Am Alive passed to the PSN afraid to compete with the game from Naughty Dog, this is because there are very few producers capable of competing with the production values of Naughy Dog .

After all this is nevertheless a curious information, because The Last of Us was largely hidden until his revelation during the VGA, which leads us to conclude that Ubisoft or knew early on that the game was already in production, or simply I Am Alive is a game even mischievous.
